Our Sales Development Team partners with Field and Inside Sales organization to drive the early stages of the sales cycle and assist with new customer acquisition. We work closely with the industry and field marketing teams to follow-up on campaign events to increase pipeline demand for new customer revenue opportunities.
Have an impact on the future growth of our business
As a Manager Sales Development, you will use your knowledge to establish and execute strong leaderships in driving pre-sales communication plans. In this role you will have a key role in increasing the satisfaction and longevity of Akamai’s customer base.
As a Manager Sales Development, you will be responsible for:
- Collaborating closely with Akamai sales and marketing counterparts to strategize regional funnel and prospecting planning
- Ensuring key performance metric targets are met including opportunity goals and engaging with sales leaders to ensure pipeline quality
- Providing necessary training, coaching and guidance to ensure early success as well as career development within Akamai
- Have experience and enjoyment of working and collaborating cross functionally using strong presentation and consulting skills
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree and 8 years sales training and management experience
- Have expertise with Microsoft Office, Salesloft and SalesForce
- Possess strong leadership and coaching skills to ensure business opportunity metrics are successfully identified and leads are pre-qualified
- Have experience and enjoyment of working and collaborating cross functionally using strong presentation, communication, and consulting skills
