Senior Partner Account Executive
Overview
The Senior Partner Account Executive is responsible for the recruitment, mentoring of Akamai security sales, development of tailored engagement and market strategy, GTM planning and execution, and overall partner management of Akamai Security Partner System Integrators, Cloud Service Providers, and Re-sellers. Additionally, the PAE will create a joint business plan for each new partner to drive commitment to generate new sales, increase pipeline and deliver new routes to market in the DACH territory.
About the Team
The EMEA Channels team is a group of industry leading professionals dedicated to driving the development and growth of the Channel Sales and Delivery program. Akamai’s Channels team is responsible for the sales, marketing, recruitment, business development and support of Akamai’s Channel partners. The Channel partner program includes relationships with Tier-1 System Integrators, Cloud Service Providers, and Re-sellers.
Required Skills
• 5+ years of Outside Security Sales/Channel Sales experience, preferably in support of National System Integrators, consulting firms, or Cloud Service Providers.
• 5+ years of successful Channel Sales experience in the high tech field.
• Ability to travel 30-50%.
Desired Skills
• Ability to successfully recruit new partnerships based on Akamai’s partner value proposition.
• Build business plans which drive new routes to market.
• Strong negotiation, solution-selling and presentation skills.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of how Akamai’s technology, coupled with third-party technologies, is leveraged to solve application delivery, security and performance challenges.
• Specialized knowledge of managed services, business application networking environments, data networking security and performance-based solutions.
• Successful sales track record and quota achievement in both direct and indirect sales roles.
• Highly motivated Self-starter.
