Akamai's InfoSec Team is responsible for safeguarding the security of Akamai's infrastructure. We also provide internal advocacy for security practices. The Security Assurance team works closely with product and platform teams throughout the company. We help ensure that Akamai systems meet both safety and security compliance needs.

As a Security & Compliance Architect, your role will be to understand security and compliance requirements. You will interpret them for Akamai systems, guiding product teams to build secure systems. You will help explain those systems to internal and external parties including auditors.

As an Security & Compliance Architect, you will be responsible for:

• Advising, influencing, and educating the company on security requirements and ensuring stakeholders in decision making
• Collaborating with teams to understand and articulate risks to Akamai systems
• Learning new technologies and security compliance standards and explaining their security and compliance implications
• Translating security requirements to business, technical, and process requirements
• Educating internal and external stakeholders about Akamai's control environment
• Supporting security incidents by providing expert security advice

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have advanced experience in either designing or analysing applications and/or systems, Identifying, explaining, and guiding solutions for application and system security risks
• Demonstrate solid understanding of technologies and fundamental protocols such as HTTP, TCP/IP, and DNS
• Have experience with various functional and adversarial-type Threat Modeling methodologies
• Have experience with GRC tooling and processes, harmonising controls across various frameworks
• Demonstrate experience translating compliance objectives to business requirements, identifying common controls amongst various frameworks and guiding remediation
• Have the ability to communicate clearly, effectively and persuasively verbally and in writing to technical and business audiences
