Our Technical Support Organization owns the end-to-end resolution of complex technical issues for our global customers. We work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional service to customers including Fortune 500 companies and Government Agencies. As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will solve complex technical issues for our customers. applying best practice solutions, proactively reviewing and mitigating risk. you will minimize any potential service disruptions for some of the top companies in EMEA.

As a Cloud Support Engineer Associate, you will be responsible for:

• Working as a trusted support partner to resolve customer questions and issues
• Providing world-class support to customers over emails and phone channels
• Leading technical investigations across Akamai's Distributed Network
• Owning the problem resolution and collaborating with Sales, Services, Engineering and Support teams to ensure customer success
• Providing proactive technical support by analyzing existing technical issues across. proposing solutions to prevent issues recurring
• Using knowledge and experience to improve internal tools and developing into a Subject Matter Expert

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Bachelor Diploma in Computer Science/Engineering or relevant engineering/science fields or relevant work experience
• Have experience providing technical solutions & support to B2B customers
• Have good knowledge of common network protocols such as HTTP, TCP/IP, UDP, DNS and relevant troubleshooting tools
• Have experience with Linux/ Unix along with programming languages such as Python or shell scripting
• Have experience with web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, CSS
• Be able to prioritize workload and communicate technical issues to stakeholders of varying technical ability
• Be able to effectively communicate in business English, written and verbal
• Have another European language such as French, Italian, Spanish, desirable German
